Description

When the caterpillar-shaped chopsticks rest and the butterfly-shaped chopsticks rest are put together on the dining table, it becomes an impressive visual feast.
The design concept of the butterfly-shaped chopsticks rest is from Euploea. Every winter, groups of Euploea fly to valleys in south Taiwan. In spring, they operate from Maolin to Bao-lai, then fly to central and north Taiwan. Therefore, the Maolin Purple Butterfly Valley near Bao-lai is a world-class natural asset.
Craftsmen of Bao-lai Ceramics shape the clay to an image of a butterfly. After biscuit firing at 900 degrees, they glaze the white body with natural materials, then glaze firing at 1200 degrees. Finally, the clay body becomes colorful pottery, like flying wings of the butterfly.
This product is not only a chopsticks rest but can be used as a pen rest or an accessory.

Size: 4 x 3 cm, 0.5 cm(thk.)

During these years, we have integrated craft into life. The pottery of Bao-lai Ceramics shows special marks of nature and the close relation between humans and land through glaze firing. All ceramics are full of the warmth and kindness of Bao-lai.
